jimbowParticipant
Could that be explained on A WEEKLY BASIS.
There will be 20 stalls in the Ty Pawb Market. 10 will be around 32m2 and 10 around 24m2.
The 32m2 will come in at £6,336 per annum and the 24m2 at around £4,752 per annum.
In weekly terms 32m2 = £121.84 and 24m2 = £91.38
On top of this each individual stall will be responsible for their own water, electric or gas where these apply.

If that was the case his name would not have been Salvador
jimbowParticipant
In the news …… Car parking charges in Flintshire could soon go up as the council tries to raise almost half a million pounds.
Flintshire Council says it currently spends more on managing its car parks than it makes from fees.
If Wrexham raised charges again then this would cover the shortfall of the public not being allowed to use the car parks at the Guildhall and Lambpit Street.
This would mean Top Managers and Councillors can keep their spaces and another difficult decision is solved. Why is it a difficult decision to ask we all pay the same?
jimbowParticipant
If the Councillors and top management were moved to the staff car par at crown buildings or to the White Elephant Art Centre and their car park was a pay and display, how much could be saved?
Councillor X. There are 99 car parking spaces in the Crown Buildings car park. If only 80 of those were utilised at £2.50 per all day by Council staff, would bring in £52k per year.Such a pity nobody had the capacity to throw Crown Buildings into the equation if this is the case.
If I can look at this another way and I know I will get called a wind up merchant AGAIN for this BUT if SOME Council Staff get FREE parking at locations such as Crown, Ruthin Road, Grosvenor Road and the Industrial Estate, why shouldn’t EVERY staff member get free parking?
To take it off Top Managers and Councillors when others get it for nothing is wrong. You either make EVERYONE pay or NOBODY pay if you want true equality.
Do women still get free proximity parking at the Council?
Councillor X. I see no problem in Council staff getting free parking at locations such as Industrial Estate or Ruthin Road. Offer these locations to top managers and let them use the bus from there, no problem. The problem is the town centre parking charges. The Council choose to charge everybody in the town centre, so everybody pays, no problem. If the Council decide to make free parking Jan to Nov as they do for December then ok. Think of the savings of enforcement officers, machines being vandalised, staff uniforms, pension contributions etc, etc. hey ho.
PS Do you think that if the Mayor has a free car all Councillors should have one?

The important decisions questionnaire kept the secret staff car park at crown buildings very quiet when the question could have been asked and thousands could be made a week from it!
Councillor X . I have had a look at the Council town centre car parking facilities on their website. At present the Crown Buildings site is not shown as a parking facility. In the past it was available to the public on Saturday/Sunday. The secret Crown Buildings staff car park now needs to be addressed also.
January 9, 2018 at 10:05 pm in reply to: Charging for parking at Country Parks including Blue Badge Holders #143040
jimbowParticipantThere are 7000 Blue Badge holders in the County Borough. If all of those had replied to not vote for charging for Blue Badge parking, then we may have had a different outcome. The Leader of the Council uses the positive replies to charge for parking as justification for his decisions. It is not his fault it’s yours is his stance.
jimbowParticipant
Just a thought (and I do genuinely not know the answer)
If parking for blue badge holders in car parks becomes chargeable, what about parking on double yellow lines with a blue badge, will that be charged and if so how ?
I am no expert but the Report HEP/11/18 put before the Executive Board today reads :-To seek Executive Board approval for the introduction of car parking charges for disabled on all Council-operated car parks where charges apply.
If charging is passed and blue badge holders park up on town centre streets up until 11.00 as is now allowed, it could become a problem. However rest assured the Exec Board will have an answer to this.

£50,000 income from opening part of the Guildhall car park daily, would be extra income for no initial outlay. How difficult can it be to make such a decision ?
Perhaps that is what will be decided today in the Difficult Decisions outcome.
If the Councillors and top Managers decide to give up their car parking spaces then good for them it will show up everyone who has complained here about them. If it happens i hope that the people who wanted this will pour praise on them and after a year print how much they have saved the Council.
I have complained about Councillor and Managers free parking. Why if they decide to pay, would it show me up? Am I not allowed to constructively criticize? You come across as a Council bullyboy Councillor X.
jimbowParticipantCllr Hugh Jones says more importantly, the exhibition will be something the whole of Wrexham to celebrate and be proud of as we open Ty Pawb to the world.
I can see the headlines now:- Coaches from USA, Australia, Europe, Africa fight for parking spaces on Wrexham High Street.
