What would be so bad about it being used as a Traveller site anyway? The area is crying out for more provision for Travellers.

I always thought that Chatwins was a little too upmarket for Wrexham

£125k is a drop in the ocean, we probably spent more than that on the bid

How long will it be before we getting city type facilities – a proper theatre (not one that looks like a school hall), a few sky scrapers (not expecting the Manhattan skyline but one or two to start with), perhaps a John Lewis and a Miller and Carter, and a proper City Hall.

But contrast Wrexham with, say, Mold and Oswestry – these both “feel” like market towns. Wrexham feels too big and spread out to have this feel.

Don’t worry, no services will be cut as a result of this!

Council tax will just be increased again – as this is a much easier option.

You ask who has disposable income these days and then, in the next breath, say that your lad has just had a £150 pair of trainers!? They are hardly an essential!

I don’t really buy that – the cost of a station on an existing line would be minimal in the scheme of things, in rail terms. Doesn’t have to be a full blown manned station with facilities, look at Ruabon – couple of platforms with bus shelters and some steps. Unless it needed compulsory purchase of land?

Rossett would make sense for the North one – at the end of the handily named Station Road!
