No, that is his oppinion, to which he is entitled. Whether or not we agree with that oppinion is another matter.

Haven’t quite decided what my best/worst are yet

I had an incident a few weeks ago where 2 kids (possibly 11 or 12 yrs old) tried to set my door on fire using newspaper and nylon rope. Thankfully the paper must have been a bit damp and fire went out before it caught. Took police 3 hours to come out and then they weren’t particularly interested, even though I had the whole incident on CCTV.

Local PCSO arranged for arson reduction team to come out and fit a bag on letterbox and extra smoke alarm by door.

We were lucky this was just a prank but the consequences could have been huge.

I ventured into the Peoples Market on Saturday looking for a specific item that has been sold there for years. The stall has vanished and everywhere seems to have been taken over by secondhand furniture.

As we were about to enter the lift to the carpark the fire alarm sounded. We took it upon ourselves to evacuate, a few minutes later stallholders appeared in high-vis but stood around in the corridor not quite knowing what to do. Surely, there must be a contingency plan in place or has that gone along with the majority of stallholders?

There is one at the junction, she was there this morning and yesterday afternoon.

In that case, maybe the kids need a Kerbcraft refresher course in the best places to cross, at the very least a mention in school assembly.

I know there used to be one.

Saw something on Leaderlive (I know swear word) that the council want community councils to cover the cost of the crossing patrols. I recall either reading or hearing somewhere that councils are not obligated to provide this service, which is disgraceful.

Is that the same company under a new name ?

Card transactions have been appearing as Heron Foods on my bank statements for a while so I assume so.
