In 2006 after 7 years of negotiations with Wrexham BC we finally moved in to the old generator house at the former Plas Power colliery in Southsea.
We had been invited to relocate from Chester by the council to open what is a unique facility in North Wales . Sadly we’ve had little or no subsequent support from WBC, indeed some council staff have been positively unhelpful !
We tick so many boxes with what we do ,regeneration of a brownfield site, healthy alternative sports activities that are family oriented all self funded and self built. We work with youth groups and schools and take massive pride in working as often as possible with groups and individuals with disabilities . However despite all this Wrexham folks don’t know we exist . It’s very frustrating that a big percentage of the population have a real downer on the town instead of trying to see some of the good things that are going on .
Negativity only breeds more of the same!

We built the biggest climbing wall in NE Wales in 06 ,opened the cafe 07 then added a high ropes course in 08 . Last week we completed a new 300′ Zip wire.We also provide Archery ,Orienteering, KMX trikes, bushcraft and team building. The problem is unlike Kevin Costner’s “Field of dreams”, we have built it, but they don’t come ! The problem is we have no money for marketing because we need more customers and if we had more customers we’d have a marketing budget ! :)
How’s this for helpful, the council slapped me down with a criminal caution for putting a swing sign out !

Are you open over the Bank Holiday weekend? Some photos of what you have to offer would be good?

Same here. If I can help in any way I will. Not everyone in Wrexham is negative and awkward, only those in power! :)

Another example of how WCBC is being ‘supportive’ of local businesses.
