A couple of padlocks or ‘Love Locks’ as they are known have been locked onto the bridge on Eagles Meadow. Love locks are famous for being attached to bridges in Paris, China etc, however the locks on our Wrexham bridge has generated some interesting / amusing feedback.

What’s the strangest, or most interesting or just plain odd thing(!) you have seen around Wrexham?

The padlocks on the eyesore meadow bridge have been there since at least january.

Someone has been romantic – well done to them!

There was busker outside the old HMV store the other week, nothing really odd, unusual or interesting about that but this particular busker didn’t seem to know the words to the songs he was performing…..or the tunes.

Still gave him a quid though! :)

Love locks have been on the Chester Grosvenor bridge for a number of years. I’m just waiting for Wrexham council or the owners of eagles meadow to come along and remove them for some ridiculous mis-guided reason!

Years ago I used to see a woman who carried a yorkshire terrier in a basket over her arm. When they were on the street the dog would poke his head out of the basket but when they went into a shop it would hide under the baskets’ cover!

The older lady who always walks around Fairy Road and down Pen y Bryn in bare feet. See her regularly and have never seen her wearing shoes!
