Oh No !!!
My favourite store…As I don’t drive, means it’s too far for me to walk to now…..Will have to go to the new Chester store instead…Easier for me to get to on the bus…..GUTTED…

Isn’t there a bus from town centre to the Plas Coch retail park?

That must be quicker and easier than a bus to Chester?
There are loads of local bus services which serve Plas Coch, and some that go further afield (Mold). The lack of a bus service should not be an excuse not to visit Plas Coch.
There definitely should not be a pay rise just because there is more devolution — a person can only do a certain amount of work. The work output per person will not increase due to more devolution so there pay certainly should not increase for this reason
I agree. The decision making process is the same however much devolution takes place. Any additional work will be undertaken by civil servants, and no doubt their numbers will be increased appropriately.
Although everyone has free choice to eat what they want but with obesity and diabetes running at such high rates we are very fast developing a heath time bomb that will explode in the next ten years. We have gone through all the health problems associated with coal mining and heavy industries with cancers, lung problems etc. with n one being aware of the consequences in the 1930/40/50/60’s
With the obesity issues medical advances know now the impact of these products we are still seeing unhealthy food available. At times personal choice of things like food should be removed by banning products that have a potential bad health affect — we did it with cigarettes so why not with bad food!!
Free choice can still exist — just make the choice spread over healthy food..

Nice to see that you are in favour of free choice as long as it is your own.

No one wishes to see people being made redundant, but in recent years the public sector has largely escaped the cuts which have been going on in the private sector for some time. They are not immune from the realities of life in the 21st century.

The Butchers and General Markets could benefit with money being spent on them and could be profitable trading hubs of the town. They are buildings of character and could be developed tastefully.

The Peoples Market is what it is. The basement of a multi storey car park; the interior is vary basic in appearance and the lighting is not inspiring in the least.
The Highways Agency or the councils could not care less about Chester Races or anyone else. I recall a few years ago major road works were carried out in Saltney which lasted about 6 months. They began on the day before a Chester Race meeting started !!

Mold Road roundabout is confusing to anyone who is not local (or even locals). A couple of years ago they altered the lane instructions by putting up yellow signs BUT, the markings painted on the lanes have not been altered. Surely it would not cost much to bring the lane markings in line with the signs.

“Also in the twitter picture showing gridlock today, why are people walking down the road?”

Probably because its quicker than driving :)

The present system is not very democratic. The real power in the Council lies with the members SELECTED to the Executive Board. The remaining councillors have very little influence, and we have all seen how genuine debate is stifled at meetings. I was quite happy with the previous divisions of council areas, although at the time we had District Councils to represent us. I would imagine that Community councils will become more prominent in our lives following the reorganisation if it goes ahead.
All depts have their budgets cut except 1. The councillors, why aren’t the wards made bigger & have less councillors . Also to save money why doesn’t the council stop paying £300:000 a year for Pcsos. You would be looking at savings of about £800:000 there.
PCSO’s carry out an useful function, but we seem to be paying for the same service twice. There is already a large portion of our rates allocated to the Police Authority and our Council also pay out a not inconsiderable sum to augment this provision. Double taxation at its best.
