The meat I have bought from there has always has the “tractor” symbol on it. Do you mean they only have some British meat? Or have I miss read and you mean other supermarkets do sell all British meat ?

been a lot of fuss over supermarkets using imported meat but labelling it as British because it is processed and packaged over here.

Aldi should be applauded for both selling British meat but also for their clear labelling . It states grown in UK, slaughtered in UK and packed in UK, clear and accurate information . Why don’t other supermarkets do this ?

    Because their meat is not.

Have to agree. I had a ticket for parking at Central retail park when visiting Dunelm because i went over to Wilkinsons(not paid but they’re hounding me well!). Not been back to island green or central since whereas i or wife used to be there at least every other week. Agree with comments re.Eagles Meadow as well, if going to pictures, bowling something to eat etc why should you pay as well.

Being a newbie to Wrexham that video from 1991 is fascinating. I take it the market at about 4mins is where Eagles Meadow is now? I often wondered what was there before E Meadow. At 3.07 it looks like the site where Tesco is now, when was Tesco built and what was there before?

Our binmen are not too bad, but what we do have every week after they’ve been is the lids off tin cans, there were 4 out there this week. We live in a cul de sac so it’s not too bad as we all pick up any rubbish floating around.

A B and Q warehouse is what i’d like. DIY stores in town are shockingly basic and B and Q is especially in need of a refurb. Everytime I go in I think the automatic door is going to fall off!

Its a poor roundabout to come on to from Rhostyllen. You have to watch out for traffic already on the roundabout as well as judging speed of traffic coming down the slip road.
I see the other side of your issue as I can only drive slowly around the island but cars coming off the bypass seem to think they have right of way even though I am on island before them. They then tailgate me all the way around until they take the Johnstown turn off.

Hope its not me causing you issues ;)

No I don’t think it’s ever been you. Just looked at your avatar and realised who you are. Nice bacon sandwiches by the way. I’m popping into T Lodge next week i’ll pop over for lunch.

One for me is the roundabout at Rhostyllen Jct3 on the 483 by the little chef.
I come down the slip road from chester everyday in the right lane to take the 3rd exit up to Johnstown. As you get onto the roundabout there is regularly someone joins from Rhostyllen without giving way to me from the right. they think as its a large roundabout and you’re in the right lane it’ll be ok to keep to the left of you, which then causes a problem as you cross to the left to leave the roundabout. It must be the only roundabout where giving way to traffic from the right does not apply.

See this is the difference then Chris, because I don’t use a car and pump all that polution into the area… I use the bus, get off the bus and get back on the bus. The supermarket car parks are there for people to use the supermarkets. That’s why they’re free.

Perhaps you could use public transport to visit town or do like they did only 30 or 40 years ago.. walk (and yes i know that’s not an option for everyone).

So instead of jumping in my car(staying nice and dry), driving for 10minutes, doing my shopping, putting it in the car, driving home right to my front door, unload shopping nice and easy. I have to walk to the bus stop(in all weathers) spend 30minutes getting to town, walk to tescos, do shopping walk back to bus stop(with 6or7 bags), 30minutes on bus back, struggle back home with all the bags, unload shopping, probably soaked wet through, kn@@@ered and lost a few hours of my life just to save myself £1 or there abouts and keep the “greenies” happy.
    Brilliant bring back the 60’s:D

Whilst I agree that these ticket schemes are ridiculous, I do understand why they enforce them. While people park they to go off into town, they are losing business, especially on weekends because people doing their shopping can’t park.

    .

I seriously doubt supermarkets lose business because people can’t park. I’ve never gone to one and had to leave because there are no spaces. I have had to drive around Tescos a couple of times at Xmas time because of trying to get too close to the store though. The only solution as suggested before is to have a barrier and your ticket gets validated in store.
The other thing is supermarkets like people parking and going into town as the majority of them pop into the supermarket on their way back to the car to pick up a few things, something they wouldn’t do if they’d parked in town.
