Iconic Wrexham landmarks have been used as the backdrop and inspiration for Neck Deep’s latest single.

The five-piece band who originate from Wrexham have featured the town in the music video for their latest release ‘Can’t Kick Up The Roots‘.

The single comes from their latest album off of the upcoming full-length ‘Life’s Not Out To Get You’ which is released later this year. The video for ‘Can’t Kick Up The Roots’ features  some iconic Wrexham landscapes, including the Racecourse, St Giles Church and the town centre (Wrexham Central and Kristina’s Cafe also get a feature!)

The video launched on YouTube last week – and at the time of writing has over 204,000 hits.

Since forming in 2012, Neck Deep have been described as ‘one of the UK’s most exciting and fastest rising names’ and signed an international record deal with US label Hopeless Records in August 2013.

Consisting of Ben Barlow, Lloyd Roberts, Matt West, Dani Washington and Fil Thorpe Evans, the band signed have made a strong impact in the world of rock, scooping a Kerrang! award, opening for Blink 182 at the London Brixton Academy and performing alongside some of the biggest names in rock on the Warped Tour.

In February 2015 it was announced that Neck Deep would be performing on the Main Stage at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival, sharing the stage Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low, Bastille and headliners – Mumford and Sons.

On Friday 22nd May the band will perform at Wrexham Central Station before heading off to play the Slam Dunk festival from the 22nd – 24th in Leeds, Hatfield and Wolves.
