Thanks for the clarification, I just thought it was odd when two people in my family received both emails.

Open you eyes, Wrexham has much too offer, two National Trust properties, World Heritage site, nationally acclaimed performers at the William Aston Hall covering everything from comedy to ballet. Numerous sports including Rugby, football and swimming. University , endless clubs and associations covering a wide range of interests. If you look you will find something for everyone. Two railway stations and easy access to the North Wales coast, mountains and the cities of North West England. There is much more to Wrexham than just the High Street!

I can’t believe after all that has been said recently that the Leader has given oxygen to this rubbish!

Alunh I hope the Chief Executive reads you post along with the Leader of the Council and Councillors, they are the people with the real power to alter things. Officers only carry out their instructions. The situation maybe critical but not fatal yet but urgent action is required now!

Walking into, the Butchers Market from High Street this morning I was shocked to see the number of empty stalls . The cafe on the High Street entrance is empty , the right hand stall on the entrance to the market is empty and four island stalls immediately as you enter are empty plus some of the perimeters stalls. Some of the remaining businesses have been trading for generations in that market and deserve real support from the Council. Something needs to be done urgently now by the landlords the Council. Lower the rents, encourage day traders, have themed days, treat enquiries seriously and give all the help you can. The Chief Executive has spent a day with many different workers in the County Borough, I am sure a day spent in the Butchers Market would be appreciated by those still trying to make a living there and be of mutual benefit. The hope is that there will be funding of £1.2 million for developing the markets but that is in the future, there needs to be some drastic action now to halt the decline.

Well done to Beth Bennett and Valmi Wynn Jones for speaking out at the Executive Board meeting ,pointing out what many of us feel , compared to many other areas Wrexham is a good place to live. Time to give oxygen to the majority not the minority !

I can understand the problem of music during the week for those who work in the Guildhall but surely weekends are different! The Nightingale House Hospice summer fair was held there very successfully, complete with music, ball games, bouncy castle and the rest!! So it is possible it just needs some ” can do” mentality!

I agree about Queen’s Square and with the close proximity of the bandstand on Llwyn Isaf , it would not take much to provide some music on summer weekends and encourage families to picnic and play games on the grass. Parents are always looking for free ways to entertain children during the long summer holidays.

BBC News – Doctors 'lose confidence' in Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board

More disturbing revelations about Betsi Cadwaladr. Worrying that they are trying to prevent consultants speaking out rather than addressing the problems.

The undeveloped land opposite the St Giles Church is owned by the Welsh Assembly.
