It is a shame they are going to include more flats. Wrexham has plenty of flats , in fact there are some new flats in the town that have never been sold. Saturation point has been reached. The demand is for affordable houses for families to live in.
The site of the BHS store was owned and maybe is still owned by the Council. If they do still own the site they would be in the position of revising a lease to reflect the current trading climate.
The heavy showers today tested the new Morrisons roof and found it wanting. A small group of buckets were arranged near the entrance to collect water dripping through the roof.
Just our of interest, Wingetts have a special auction sale next month of items belonging to Wrexham businessman Bob Gray. Among them are many brewing related objects, some to do with the original Wrexham Lager.
Someone mentioned the old Brother factory site but I think that has planning for houses. Somewhere off the Gresford roundabout would be ideal, giving easy access to the A483 and most areas of the Borough.
From the photograph on wrexham.com the new Morrisons is very close to the large hopspital car park at the rear of the Maelor Hospital. Would it be possible to have a new exit/entrance from that hospital car park on to the new piece of Morrisons road that joins Ruthin Road ? A second entrance/ exit would lead to less congestion at the end of visiting.
