This morning there were several drop outs in sleeping bags in shop door ways. It looks dreadful to visitors too our town. If anyone has gone into town of an evening it is terrible. I have even seen a van turn up and give them hot coffee and food. How ridiculous in a town that wants city status to have scenes like this.
It was a disgrace in town this morning. Opposite the arcade there were several dossing down in doorways. They seem to be smoking and have mobile phones on them so they have money on them. It is awful for people coming in to town to see all this going on right in the town centre.
Yes in reply to Jane, I would NEVER ring the police again to report anything. First thing they do is ask for your address and make a visit. That’s when the s**t hits the fan. Trying to do good only makes it hard for yourself. If they just corresponded by phone and checked on what has been reported I’m sure things wouldn’t get out of hand.
Well said. Unfortunately we find that by doing well we get targeted. Too many people close a blind eye to what is going on around us. Maybe it’s the times we live in but I would like to see mobile units pass by daily. Perhaps if they did and were to show their presence we wouldn’t be subjected to this.
Been to the chemist in Rhosddu this morning and there were two drugged up guys in the garden of rest. One couldn’t even stand up. The other was leaning on the wall eyeballs out in another world. Passengers on the buses can see all this apart from us folk who have to walk past the children’s play park and garden of rest. As per usual no sign
of any police presence.
They have been congregating in the garden of rest in Rhosddu again today. Out of their damned minds, swigging and injecting. As per usual there are no police presence once again. It is terrible for people passing to see.
Not a completely bad idea that. Being that they are loud enough shouting and screaming around the town I imagine
they would welcome the interest i them.
Still, the point is to try and move them from the retail centre of the town to make it a pleasant shopping centre.
God help Wrexham if they EVER attempt to get city status again………now that would be a laugh.
Yes, I stick with the original suggestion. To take them away from the retail area of the town before we lose
even the stalwart shoppers to other towns that don’t appear to have the volume of homeless that we have.
