MP1953Participant
I don’t see why not MP1953
I guess so, but as I say I have never been in a polish shop/supermarket and I personally don’t know anyone else that has, there is no reason/prejudice or anything it’s just something I have never done maybe as I only notice Polish people going into them which is why I ask. no agenda sheefag.
MP1953Participant
Do I smell a whiff of sarcasm there Huw mate?
I have to admit I have never been in a Polish shop in Wrexham, is everybody welcome in them ??
MP1953ParticipantI would like to think this topic would be full of posts, but unfortunately I doubt it :(
MP1953Participant
Bring it on I say. Yes, I’d prefer the Council to carry out this function but with all the cuts etc, there is no way they would create this type of role without including in it a myriad of other duties meaning the actual problem of littering and fouling would fall by the wayside.
I am sick to death of the littering and fouling throughout the area and I for one welcome this as a step in the right direction. I don’t care how much this company earn. In fact, the more the earn the better as this should mean they are penalising more of these inconsiderate people of Wrexham who think its ok to treat the fields, hedges and roadsides of Wrexham as their own personal litter bin.
Education on this subject starts with children and if you’re an adult who happily lets your dog foul or deposits the contents of your latest take-away on the roadside, then it’s too late for you so let’s hope you are one of the ones subject to this ‘zero tolerance’ approach.
All as parks are these days are dog toilets, and it doesn’t matter that you do clean it up, the residue is still there unless it is sprayed or something, I wouldn,t let children play in parks now as they used to, toss up rolling along the grass etc. if you walk through a park without a dog you get funny looks these days!
But I suppose anything that helps in any small way can’t be bad.
MP1953Participant
Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. What would have been said if the car and HGV that were reported to have swerved at high speed to avoid the dog, had flipped or crashed? I understand it was on an unlit section of the A55, which is not a safe place for the police to be out of their vehicles, let along trying to flag down passing motorists to stop with them, for goodness knows how long until someone was able to come and rescue the lost and wandering dog that had already bitten a person.
Do any of your love ones work on the roads? It really sounds like a blooming horrible and dangerous place to work, and quite often a thankless task. Thanks to those who do keep our roads safe to travel on.
Totally agree the Police on this occasion did the right thing.
MP1953Participant
Thank you for your response MP1953 … most interesting, will you provide further info.. obviously not disclosing personal details?

My dealings are nothing to do with this particular matter, but it is quite remarkable how an authority get away with being so unprofessional without being challenged to much.
MP1953Participant
In your report of 17/01/16, you reported that Lesley Griffiths AM is to write to Mark Pritchard regarding how the decision to demolish the Groves was made in such a hurried fashion especially when it follows on so close to the other perverse decisions recently.
I sincerely hope the Leighton Andrews is made aware of her findings, when received, and if found wanting in any way, that the Welsh Assembly investigate the manner in which WCBC is being run by Elected Members, especially in light of the somewhat perverse decisions made of late made by the present administration.
Public confidence has been almost totally eroded.
Perhaps the time is right for Commissioners to be appointed before the situation gets even worse, if that is possible.
As I have hinted/insinuated even! on here before, you would like/hope to think that the council are a credible professional body, but my personal recent involvement with them unfortunately is far from this…

I see that more police are to patrol our streets in order to reduce high crime rates in our town. I was wondering why there is Wrexham such a crime hot spot and what can be done to reduce the amount of criminal activities endured the inhabitants of our fair town. It seems that not much has changed since the Guardian in 2000 described Wrexham as a ‘Wild West’ border town.http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2000/jul/04/ukcrime.drugsandalcohol
It would be good to see an up to date report rather than one which is 16 years old.

I doubt it would be much different now, although you could add Arson to the list now !!

Maybe the new Arts Center (hub thing) will help in this respect, the inhabitants of our fair town will be queuing up to get in there instead of committing crimes. Ummm Mmmmm Mmmmm !
