A post on facebook appeared last night about the treatment of some students in Darland school. Not sure what has gone exactly but it is centred around a boy being restrained by a number of teachers and dragged back to school from Rossett Park. People are getting very uptight and angry about it!

A report on the impact of the new homes on Gatewen Road in New Broughton shows it will increase queuing times at the Ramada roundabout by four minutes. Surely the pollution created by this and other new developments under the Welsh Government guided LDP will offset any supposed benefits of the 50mph zone?
As mentioned above, the Maelor and society in general is worse affected by the legal drug that is alcohol. I’ve also noticed weed seems to be smoked quite freely round town. Probably indicates that police recognise it as low impact too.
What’s the cost of bringing this in then IMHO? I note from the article that rather than being an attempt to impose the Welsh language on people, this scheme is to support and encourage parents who do wish to raise their children bilingually. I think you’ll find that the amount spent on promoting the language is relatively modest compared to the majority of frontline services. If you come and live in Wales, don’t be too shocked when some of your hard-earned gets spent on boosting the indigenous language.
There are apparently covenants on the Llay traveller site (confirmed by council) and the land being put forward for housing by Glyndwr in New Broughton (not confirmed by council).
