Wrexham police have issued fixed penalty notices to two occupants of a vehicle late last night.

The car, pictured above, was stopped on Smithfield Road outside Tesco.

Police say the excuse for travel given was that the occupants were “travelling from Southport to Wrexham to pick up a used games console”, which police said was “not an essential journey”.

The outcome of the stop was that both received fixed penalty notices.

Police said, “The driver also had no insurance, so the vehicle was seized and the driver reported for this also.”
