Man taken to hospital after assault in Rossett

A man was taken to hospital following an incident in Rossett last night.

Last night there were multiple reports circulating online of emergency services attending Darland View, with rumours that a “stabbing” had taken place.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police have stated that no one was stabbed.

The spokesperson said officers were called to a disturbance just before 8pm.

A man was assaulted and taken to hospital for a “check-up”.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service added: “We were called shortly before 8.00pm last night to reports of an assault in the Rossett area of Wrexham.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one person was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
