Eight Local Men Charged Following ‘Bubble Match’ Banners

North Wales Police have charged eight Wrexham men with a number of public order offences following the football match between Wrexham and Chester at the Racecourse ground on August 31.

The men aged between 21 and 27 have been charged with offences relating to the display of offensive banners and assault. They are due to appear before Wrexham Magistrates court on November 5th.

Meanwhile a man and a youth from Chester have also been charged with public order offences and are also due before magistrates in during November.

Detective Sergeant Iwan Roberts said; “We arrested more than 20 people in the days following the match. We have charged a total of fifteen people to date, but investigations continue and more charges will follow.’’
