New Road is currently closed both ways following a collision earlier this evening.

The incident is believed to involve a vehicle and a pedestrian and took place shortly before 7:30pm this evening.

It is thought that the collision has taken place between B5101 Stansty Road (The Turning for Plas Coch) and East Avenue – towards the Walnut. As a result New Road is closed from Plas Coch towards the Walnut.

North Wales Police Control Room have tweeted asking people to avoid the area if possible.

There are no traffic delays in the area as a result of the collision.
