LiamParticipantIt’s funny you should mention it, I drive down the Cefn Road to go to Overton most days of the week and have been wondering for ages what the limit is.
The 40mph signs were taken down around the time of the roundabout roadworks, but it’s unclear what the limit is now.
I tend to treat is as a 40 as it has been for years and there are no signs to the contrary but I think you’re in the right on this one. No need for people to be abusive.
In a situation where there has been a change of speed limit surely it would be better to put up signs so that people are clear on the matter?
LiamParticipantThree new stores going into Eagles Meadow, Animal opened last week, a new women’s clothing store opening tomorrow and Mococco jewellery store will open in June.
On the bad news side looks like Clintons might be going:

I didn’t go. However I have often though about taking my eldest lad to a home game or 2. However I often have a browse of red passion and the attitude if some of the people that post on there really puts me off.
One thing I’d say about that is that if you go to a game most fans are generally good natured (depending where you sit). Some people just use the internet as an excuse to be abusive sadly. If you want to take your son along I’d recommend either sitting in the Yale Stand or somewhere in the middle of the Mold Road Stand. Both are often used by families.
LiamParticipantWe’ve kicked off our live election coverage here, we’ll be going right up until the small hours!
LiamParticipantI’ve just written a piece on how we’ll be covering the election tomorrow if anyone is interested, it could be a long day! Looking forward to it though, how are any candidates feeling?

LiamParticipantI nominate people coming through the traffic calming measures just before Morgan Llwyd, the amount of chancers you get flying out when they don’t have right of way is stupid.
LiamParticipantLike Mike I have to stay impartial but in my ward there is a long standing councillor, a new candidate aligned to a political party and an independent standing. The long standing councillor I have had little contact with in the local community and have never received anything in the post, they have also yet to send a leaflet or come to my doorstep in the election run up. The politically aligned candidate popped a leaflet through the door but it basically just slagged off other parties, mentioned a few central party policies and revealed nothing of their knowledge of the local community. The only candidate I received both a doorstep visit and leaflet from was the independent, who is already heavily involved in the community and told me how they’d make it better.
It’s not difficult to see which approach is more effective.
LiamParticipantToday is the last day we’re accepting responses and already our inbox is bulging, could be a long one!
LiamParticipantThe bit that shocked me about that was how much some councillors are claiming for petrol. I know it’s hardly cheap, but I fail to see how you can invoice for £1,500 for carrying out council business.
LiamParticipantI’m sure there was a bit of hail too in the microclimate that is Little Acton.
