We constantly hear negative news in the papers and on TV, though when we come to contact with our bank or building society are they really that bad?!
Lets share our experiences of the GOOD service we receive, especially in the town branches…
(Please let’s keep this post positive! If it ain’t nice, don’t say it)Although the vast majority of my banking is done online, I do use the Nationwide branch in town and the staff are always pleasant and helpful.

On a positive note…maybe it will help cut down the problem of far too many obese people around.
I was thinking something similar after I posted. They could market the bars as ‘20% less calories’.

£0.79p for 250 grms & £1.98p for 200 grms as stated on the packaging.
I can’t see the deception sorry.
Dramatic price increase, granted.
The deception is created by them making the product, at first glance, appear to be the same size as previous.
If they wanted to reduce the product weight, the easiest and most obvious way would have been to reduce the number of rows. However as this would have been obvious to the customer, they have cleverly thinned out the bar so the average customer probably won’t notice.
Also, you may have noticed on some products seeing a ‘new larger size’ label. Funny how you don’t get manufacturers pointing out ‘new smaller size’.
lazyjackParticipantWould be very interesting to find out just how much this farce of a trial has actually cost.
Then again, might be better off not knowing it will only annoy me even more.
lazyjackParticipantLet’s add Llay New Road from the Pandy turning to Alyn Waters Park. Too many speed limit changes in short distances.

Well, where do we start?
Crescent road leading up to Derby Road & Hightown. Now your turn.
That prob would have been my first choice, it’s not even a difficult road to plan but they still made a pigs ear of it.
Next up, Cefn Road. Traffic calming, nothing more to add.
What else, speed bumps EVERYWHERE. Can’t recall going to another town where there are so many. No wonder I’ve had to replace the coil springs twice on my car (and no I don’t drive fast over them).

I agree with you & angry shopper on this. Not everyone is local to Wrexham & it is very confusing. I don’t know where else this happens. Why have they decided to do this? Is it to keep us on our toes.
It’s not to keep us on our toes that’s for sure, it’s because the people who do the road planning haven’t got a clue.
You shouldn’t have to be a local to work out how a road works and use it safely and correctly. There’s not always time to look at all the extra signs that are added (when roads are altered), drivers should be able to use standard procedure and common sense to a certain degree.
Unfortunately, there are examples of poor road layouts littered across the Wrexham area. Gresford roundabout takes some beating.
Perhaps we could make a list of them between us and forward them onto WCBC.
lazyjackParticipantWe’re on the Gresford exchange and our fibre should be working this week (Openreach engineer coming to put the modem in).
I have found this website useful FTTC Check as it works down to ‘cabinet’ level, not just exchange. Just because your exchange is enabled for fibre, it does not guarantee that you will be able to get it.

After doing a little bit of googling I’m sure the 50mph speed limit area Wrexham side is less than the recomended minimum distance of 400 meters
I’m almost certain it is, I timed how long it took me to drive through the 50mph zone at 40mph and worked it out to less than 300 yards. Not an exact calculation obviously but I’m sure it’s nowhere near 400 metres.
Why didn’t they just change the whole national speed limit zone (Llay park to Rhosrobin Rd) from 60mph to 40mph ? Would have been much less faffing around, cost less to do and safer for drivers. Perhaps that was just too obvious.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for the left lane to be for Hightown anyway as most of the traffic is in the right hand lane & the left hand lane is mostly empty. People who don’t know the road find it hard to filter into the right hand lane as some people don’t like letting people in?
Left lane for Hightown would make far more sense, as it is it’s just another example of a badly designed road in Wrexham.
From my experience I would say at least 80% of vehicles are in the RH lane. Out of those in the LH lane some of them end up going to Hightown anyway.
Could we perhaps request that the council start up a road improvement suggestion form on their website so everyone has a chance to point out things like this, seeing as they are oblivious to the issues themselves
