Blimey asteve76, I assume you’ve never been there in the morning or evening “rush” hours. It routinely used to take 45-60 minutes to get from Rossett to to the Business Park. A run which takes 10 minutes at other times.

Whether THIS solution was the right one and whether it will sort matters out is another matter.

Anyway, TWO weeks from the third deadline. It’s clear some progress is, at last, being made but will they meet the target date ? Looking at it as I sat in queues on Friday there are some major things still no-where near.

Anyone betting on it being fully done & dusted in two weeks ?

My guess us that, for shear shame, they’ll open what they can but some work will continue for a good while after.

Or maybe I’m just a pessimist.

Employment Law does, most certainly, allow an employer to dismiss and not need to wait until a Court case is concluded. That’s the fact.
Bobo, This was reported locally, Leader ran this story a few days ago. Report suggests this person intends to continue teaching.
Apologies. Thanks.

She surely will be barred from teaching.

Oh & Ferret. Inciteful input. That added a huge amount. Well done.

CMAJ … no, it isn’t. Once an employer loses faith in you they have the right not to employ you. Also, the burden of proof in a Court of Law is amazingly precise and you can “get away with it” far more easily. There’s a huge difference between being innocent and not being found guilty.

Public sector employers, from Police to Councils suspend on full pay sometimes for months, even years. At some stage they should press on.

Meanwhile she now HAS been found guilty. I assume she’s out on her ear in the next couple of weeks.

…. & the usual liberal simpering of the Guardianistas of “oh it’s only in the Daily Mail” neither alters it’s accuracy nor reflects that it’s in other media too.

Not the local press … even Wrexham.com … Why is that ?

I’d comment but Daaaaaaaaave would get arsey.

Death by a thousand cuts. It was clear at Christmas they wouldn’t hit the March date. It was clear in March that next week would never be hit. Rather than say that they’ve released add ons bit by bit.

There’s actually a vague possibility they’ll make this one. The work can’t go on forever !

But, as said above the bad water excuse last time was ridiculous. They’ve excelled themselves with using Chester races as an explanation this time.

The responses here are good to see. The anti’s are always so sweeping they presume everyone else agrees or they are some sort of evil. Certainly the pamphlets I’ve seen as so wildly inaccurate as to be laughable if this wasn’t such an important matter.

Meanwhile the camp at Borras Head continues to be a collection of weirdo’s … usually barely attended with some weekend bizarre joining them now & again.

They sponge of society, rubbish all attempts at common sense and will never, ever stop with their nay-saying. If wasn’t this it’d be something else.

Get a job, get a wash and get a life.

Now …. you were saying ?

Well one of the two will go. There’s absolutely no sense in having Screwfix literally next to B&Q.

I guess the decision will come down to turnover and whether one range of products or the other wins the day.

… or maybe, just maybe, there isn’t the demand to keep a Welsh language “pub” going in a town where that language is so little used and so little wanted.

Now, a Polish pub. That may be different.

    Cue the racist barrage.

… and again today, Tuesday. About 3 miles queuing going North. I’m sooooo glad they’ve promised it’ll be finished in 4 more weeks.
