Katia, you have sorted out the shops, business rates & parking but will you please stand for council next time and sort them out too. Or even become our next MP. I will vote for you whatever party you stand for.

I always believed that by paying National Insurance, it was an insurance like any other, the purpose of which was to be paid out in old age. They may call it a different name now but it is still the same thing. I agree 100% with johnhoppy.

All the gloom & doom merchants stop anything that makes life a little pleasanter. I am sure that a little good, clean, inexpensive fun that doesn’t hurt anyone would make us want to stop in town longer to shop a little & have a coffee or lunch out.

To proof of the pudding and all that. the whether the car parking charges can make a difference wWhy can’t we have all day free parking on one of the quietest days of the week to see if it gets any busier. Say a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Play Day was an excellent concept. Long may it continue before the health & safety brigade decide that children are having far too much fun & therefore it must be dangerous.

We said that the outcome would have had much more serious consequences if it had been a bus or a wagon with windows a few inches higher than ours. A summer evening with windows open. They wouldn’t have stood a chance. The police weren’t interested. They didn’t even search for the perpetrators.

A lot of PCSO’s do appear to go around in pairs just chatting to each other, taking no notice of their surroundings.

I liked the upstairs at TJ’s but downstairs was much too overcrowded for me. I hate overcrowded shops although I can understand why they have to do it.
