It’s been used as a public highway since Roman Times – so it’s got around 2,000 years of designated experience with traffic of sorts. Tells you everything you need to know about the mentality of modern drivers and not the road itself.
Bloody Romans! Great at the time but no forward thinking

WreX-iTParticipantHow many are native Wrexham homeless ?
WreX-iTParticipantWith a government that don’t respect wishes there was no party!
Let everyone in and flock the consequences.
We have a great infrastructure and continue to take in migrants indefinitely with affecting services

WreX-iTParticipant
Back to the original question. What is WCBC doing about homelessness. Answer: Nothing. Homelessness comes hand in hand with drug abuse. The majority of these people are well grounded citizens experiencing hard times. Since working in the town for seven years alongside many of these people I have known of eight homeless or borderline homeless people who have lost their lives to drugs.
The problem won’t go away. It’s socio-economic. The Council need to take the problem off the streets. Convert the old Grove School into a safe haven offering short and longer term boarding. Dedicated and monitored substance imbibing areas. Needle exchange. Relocate help organisations such as CAIS and soup kitchens all under one roof.
It won’t solve the problem but it will offer a means to change lives and make the streets safer and more attractive.
If I can play Advocatus Diaboli here, would having all of these great facilities for the homeless not draw more people from all over the country?
WreX-iTParticipanti was speaking as the man in the street Matt although i am disillusioned with the whole political circus.
With your logic Mattt, maybe you should stand. You do spout some rubbish at times but at least you have conviction. I would probably vote for you.

WreX-iTParticipant
You could always ask Cllr Andrew Atkinson as he is the Lead Member for Anti Poverty- here is his strategy http://moderngov.wrexham.gov.uk/mgAi.aspx?ID=8618 – what you need to ask is how much progress has been made on any of the actions….
There is no poverty in Gresford so it is not very high on Andrew’s agenda. Now if you ask him about a Gresford litter pick or to chase out gypsies then he is your man.
I wish I could afford to live there because he really looks after his people not like the other lot who do very little or if they do they are not into self promotion.
WreX-iTParticipant
People always complain about councillor pay, but perhaps if there wasn’t such a piss poor turnout at the local elections we might elect a half decent bunch worthy of the recommended remuneration they receive.
If BREXIT doesn’t happen then I am afraid the “piss poor turnout” will turn into a dribble of urine because nobody can trust a politician/ Councillor again. 59% of voters will/ do feel betrayed and not bother again.
People yack on about democracy and using your vote but when it counts for nothing who do you trust?
Getting back on track and they will get their nice pay rise no matter how they have performed over the year. Its life!
