After 40 years shopping at Asda I am taking my money elsewhere and yes the new speedbumps are the cause. I am not damaging my car by visiting Asda again.

The best of Wrexham 2013 for me was the snow fall. It brought out the community spirit and neighbours helped those who needed it. When it was over we all returned to our normal behaviour but it is good to know that, when needed, people will do that extra bit necessary.

The worst of Wrexham 2013 was the news that the Council is having it’s budget cut. The impact of this could be felt by us all for many years to come.

On a personal level 2013 was very kind to me and the only news I had was good. I hope 2014 is as kind to all of you.

It’s the same in other public services. Spend money to save money. I have news for them, it doesn’t work!

Unfortunately the soft targets, libraries and leisure, will bear the brunt. It’s very hard on everyone but if the budget is cut the services provided will be reduced. It will be interesting to see how the council evolves in the future.

It could have something to do with the nights drawing in. I, for one, am spending more time indoors and the tv is dire!

I agree with you in a way. I have been half way through a post when one pops up saying the same thing so I delete mine. Had it been there when I was reading my response would have been different. Real time discussion has an edge that is now lost on here. I fully understand the reasoning behind it but with no-one posting there is nothing to debate. It’s a shame really but I will still use the site which is primarily a local news source.

I shall not hold my breath Sam for fear of turning blue! The area needs the spine road and the promised school, supermarket etc but promises are easily broken. If BDL don’t have the funds to build the road how are they going to build the houses or am I missing something?
