…more project FEAR from Ioan y Ffin – first we were told that there would be an immediate economic crash and the world as we know it would effectivly come to an end, now this idiot is saying it will come in 10 years. Grow up and embrace the bright new future you have got.

You may call it Project Fear. It’s not a term I would use. However not one of us knows where the country will be in a year’s time, never mind ten years. We just do NOT know! Trade deals are exactly that, a deal. We give a bit, the other side gives a bit. I remember the talk about trade deals being easy; free of the EU we would conquer the world. Let us not lose sight of the fact that it us doing the asking.
Personally I can’t see any for us in North East Wales. If we had a better NHS, better road structure & a decent rail network I would sing their praises, if our schools were top notch likewise, if we had low business rates, if we were self sufficient I could understand that the Welsh Assembly had some purpose. But it is all if’s. As far as I see it we hold out a begging bowl to the Assembly who in turn hold out a begging bowl to Westminster so why not cut out the middle man. It would save us all money.
Exactly so!
I’m rather disappointed that after 15 posts that the only benefits of a Welsh Assembly appear to be jobs for the boys, free prescriptions & £326,000 for support of young people with learning disabilities. There must be something else surely.
What do you think the benefits are?

Maybe, maybe not! No one knows. We have moved into unknown territory!

Has our new MP made her maiden speech yet? Notice several new MP’s used today’s debate on homelessness as a good platform to make their maiden speeches and highlighted issues in their constituencies.

Not sure if or not she has made her speech or not, but I did see her the other day giving that two-faced slime ball the Shadow Sec Sate for health Jonathan Ashworth a right ear bashing as she exposed the dreadful state of the Welsh NHS under Labour, she explicitly described how Betsi was failing the people of Wales and all under 20+ years of Welsh Labour mis-management. In all his years as Wrexham’s MP I never once heard Lazy Lucas say anything as powerful in the House of Commons….! More power to you Sarah, keep fighting for the good people of Wrexham.

Standing up and shouting the odds are one thing, having the power or authority to change or improve the situation is another. It’s far too early to decide if she is fit for the job.

It was broadcast from Wrexham many years ago and Boris Johnson was a member of the panel. He waffled and stuttered through his replies then.
It appears that the Wrexham Enterprise Hub is to offer free help & guidance to Wrexham ‘start up’s. Excellent idea. That means that the Council can close Europe Direct located in the Library. There’s no point duplicating services. Presumably the Council will jump at the chance as part of it’s Library cost saving incentive and the impending Brexit. I know Europe Direct is mostly funded by the European Union but WCBC pays staff wages and location costs. Those trips to Switzerland for staff smack of the MP’s Expenses scandal.
How on earth, have you managed to link what is being offered at the Enterprise Hub with Europe Direct?
“It comes following a warning that sticking with the current fortnightly service for black bins could cost Wrexham Council more than £800,000.”

Is this the total cost of collecting the bins? Previously we were told the SAVING by changing to three weekly collections was £47,000. Councillors have the opportunity to clarify if this figure is correct during their discussions.

If the reason for doing this is to increase recycling, the Council should look seriously at education about recycling. Step up the visits to schools, if necessary employ another education person.
Send out frequent posts on Facebook. People need constant reminding, so that it becomes second nature to recycle. The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle slogan says it all, but we don’t hear it very often.

I have been attempting to save the planet for the best part of my life. Those flying off across the world on holidays aren’t doing too much to save the planet, nor people driving fuel guzzling cars.

16 year old’s are having their few carefree teenage years snatched from them. It won’t be long before age of consent is down to 14. Where will it end?
Question Time audiences have people of all ages on both sides of the Brexit fence including young people.

Many over the age of 65 are still working with & without pay. Where would many of today’s 30 & 40 somethings be without grandparents to help lighten the load with free childcare?
It’s called society!
Not that politics is my pet subject as I think that all the top politicians are liars these days. Was a time that they would have been chucked out if found out in a lie. Can’t trust any of them. No ordinary people I have spoken with about Brexit have changed their minds in either direction.

The same subject in a newspaper article has a very different spin depending on which paper you read so I take them all with a very large pinch of salt.

I thought that Ian Lucas, Andrew Atkinson & Carrie Harper were decent people on a personal level when speaking with them on varying issues. They all did what they thought was best for the town although different politics. Nothing to do with Brexit. On the other hand the AM’s don’t seem to do very much at all for our town or even North Wales.

I know absolutely nothing about the new lot of MPs. I might just stick a pin in the ballot paper & go with the closest.
Your experience is the same as mine dealing with Mr Lucas. I don’t know Mr Atkinson or Ms Harper so well.
So you’re another ‘don’t know’ to add to my poll!🙂
