Sounds like something nonces would want to happen.
Clearly you’re a Nonce then.

If the Adults are old enough to Vote then they clearly are old enough to go to Adult Jail. As opposed to YOI where they have fun all day

The Lawyers will say but they are so Young.

Yes an can Vote and they have A Say on laws made in the land

    Now do you understand
Nice straw man argument – you are refuting an argument about prisons that I did not create NOR did the WAG when they were legislating. These are some ridiculous parameters that you have created in your own mind.

All I was putting across was support for votes for 16 year olds.

You are the one offering support for full on prison for 16 year olds. Nobody in power is going to agree with your idea about removing young offenders institutes but they have agreed to give 16 year olds the vote so go figure.

Thor does have a point albeit a tough one. With voting comes responsibility. Voting on matters that will affect others lives but not their own is not right.

By that logic then should we exclude those over the age of 65 from voting on workers rights?

Talk about psychological projection. 16 year olds are literally having their futures snatched away by this pig-headed refusal to protect the planet.

And brexit? Voters, many well over 55, making the decision to visit life threatening risks onto others eg epileptics, diabetics and cancer patients who need life-saving medicine from the EU.

Thor doesn’t have a trace of a point. It was a thumping great ‘false equivalence.’

You are having a go at the wrong person.
I have been attempting to save the planet for the best part of my life. Those flying off across the world on holidays aren’t doing too much to save the planet, nor people driving fuel guzzling cars.

16 year old’s are having their few carefree teenage years snatched from them. It won’t be long before age of consent is down to 14. Where will it end?
Question Time audiences have people of all ages on both sides of the Brexit fence including young people.

Many over the age of 65 are still working with & without pay. Where would many of today’s 30 & 40 somethings be without grandparents to help lighten the load with free childcare?

You have got to be a proper anorak if you are interested in politics at 16.

I am a bit sceptical of allowing foreign citizens to vote in our elections unless we have reciprocal arrangements with the relevant countries concerned (as is currently the case with EU and various Commonwealth states). If a foreign national does wish to vote then they can always apply for citizenship. If they object to doing so then you have to question why they should be allowed a say in the lives of those people who are citizens.
