Having the Art Gallery and Library together in one building made sense. The Library brought people into the building and increased the footfall of the Gallery. Maybe someone has thought relocating the Library to new Arts Hub might increase footfall . Putting the Tourist Information Office within the Arts Hub might have the same effect too.
Wrexview. You could well be right. If the Arts Hub is losing money hand over fist, a transfer of the Library and Tourist Information revenue would cover up the shortfall. The way the Council conjure up figures the Arts Hub with these additions could be self financing in three years. There again pigs might fly.

wooggleeye. I also wonder what is in the broom cupboard. Under the Libraries Service Review in the draft it says, there could be possible changes in location. Obviously some consideration has been given to this or else it would not have been mentioned.
Could it be, the new police station will be maybe too small and the library used for an extension?

The proposal to raise £25,000 by revoking the entitlements of Blue Badge holders to me does not add up.
There are 7000 Blue Badge holders in the County Borough. If all 7000 came into town, once every three weeks for 2 hours @ £1.50 per stay, it would raise £168,000.
How accurate are the figures on which decisions are taken?
How can you be an Independant and then join a group??

You have to be in a Group to get one of the better paid jobs. However, there are two Independent Councillors in Wrexham that are not aligned and remain free to vote as they think.

What was on the table from the Democratic Scrutiny Committee was for the full Council to adopt the lower of the two levels of pay for Councilors as outlined by the INDEPENDANT Remuneration Panel for Wales.

The Democratic Scrutiny Committee is made up of 3 Labour, 3 Conservative, 1 Plaid and 6 Independent.

Councillor Pritchard would not accept this and proposed to postpone until next year and await the findings of the remuneration panel in the hope that, only 1 level of pay will be proposed.

What annoys me is that the 6 Independent and 3 Conservatives who put forward the change in levels of pay, all voted to now change their tune and voted with Councillor Pritchard.

    Talk about NO GUTS.
Love cats as I do I cannot help but feel that this is a total waste of money.
The money that will be put up for this project mainly comes from donations from cat lovers, that is their choice. If as you say this is a total waste of money, how about the Arts Hub using public money to which nobody has a choice.
The people that donate probably donate to other charities being the type of people they are.

You are leaving the PURR FECT town. On a sign leaving the Borough of Wrexham.

You get far more love and thanks from feeding a stray cat than you do from some humans.
