Prime Minister Calls Snap General Election For June 8th

Prime Minister Theresa May has this morning has stated that there will be a snap UK General Election on June 8th.

The Prime Minister made the surprise statement at 11:05am this morning outside 10 Downing Street, with the unbranded podium and untrailed nature of the announcement prompting much speculation.

The election is due to be held on June 8th – locally seats are currently held by MP Ian Lucas and MP Susan Elan Jones.
