There’s some good news for the town centre, with a popular women’s clothing brand opening its first Wrexham store.

High street retailer ‘ Select’, which specialises in women’s clothing, is to open in the former ‘Blue Inc’ on Regent Street.

The store has been vacant almost six months, with ‘Blue Inc’ closing suddenly in January due to a ‘company restructure’. The restructure resulted in the closure of 60 stores nationwide.

Work on the store has been ongoing for several weeks, with the store completely being completely refitted and new signage added.

Described as a ‘high-street women’s-wear retailer aimed at 18-35 year olds’, Select has 180 stores nationwide and is currently undergoing ‘rapid expansion plans’ to open new stores in prime trading stores across the country.

Several jobs have been created by the new store – and for those looking for a job, the company are still advertising for a sales assistant role in Wrexham.

Wrexham’s new Select store is expected to open in the next few weeks.
