‘Company Restructure’ Results in Closure of Wrexham’s Blue Inc Store
A town centre fashion store in Wrexham has closed its doors for the final time – with a company restructure seeing over 60 stores closing nationwide.
Over the past few days Wrexham’s Blue Inc store has been holding an ‘All stock £5 of less’ sale, with some shoppers wondering if this was due to a refit at the store or a full closure.
A sign in the window of Blue Inc this morning confirms that the store has closed, stating that ‘Neil Bennett and Alex Cadwallader were appointed joint administrators of A.Levy & Son Limited on 19th January 2016.
A spokesperson for Blue Inc told Wrexham.com earlier today that the company was undergoing a ‘corporate restructure’ and that the Wrexham store had been closed as result.
An exact number of job losses at the Wrexham store has not been confirmed, however it is reported that around 560 jobs will be lost across the country.
The company spokesperson added that Blue Inc had ‘good Christmas sales’, and while the warm weather didn’t help, there had been a 50% increase in the company’s online sales.
The store is the third in Wrexham Town Centre to close this week – with Body Shop closing on Saturday and ‘Look-See’ on Regent Street also closing earlier this week.
