Police this evening have said a man has been arrested for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, disqualified driving and dangerous driving following an armed police operation on the A483 at Wrexham.

North Wales Police have said: “The operation resulted in the off-slip at the Ruthin Road interchange being closed for a short period of time whilst the incident was brought to a safe conclusion.

Temporary Superintendent Paul Joyce said: “I would like to apologise for any disruption that may have been caused to those using the road this evening, it was however important to close the slip – road for the safety of the public.

“I would like to extend my thanks to the officers who dealt with the incident in a professional manner resulting in the arrest of a man for a number of offences.”
