Appeal Launched Following ‘Serious’ RTC In Gresford

An appeal has been launched after a man was left seriously injured following an Road Traffic Collision earlier this week.

The incident took place on the A5156 Gresford roundabout at its junction with the A483 at around 1:05pm on Tuesday 3rd February, which has left a local man with serious injuries.

The collision involved a Black BMW 5 series and pedal cycle.

Investigating Officer Pc Darren Newby of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Shortly after 1pm on Tuesday 3rd February North Wales Police and other emergency services responded to the scene of a road traffic collision on the Gresford roundabout Wrexham involving Black BMW and pedal cycle.

“As a result of the collision the cyclist, a local man, has sustained serious but not life threatening injuries.

“A full investigation will now take place and we’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Deeside 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote reference Number S016072.”
