Cyclist Taken To Hospital Following RTC On Gresford Roundabout

A cyclist has been taken to hospital following an incident near Gresford earlier this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the Gresford roundabout involving a vehicle and a push bike at around 1:04pm this afternoon.

The road was partially blocked, however it was the reported that the road had been cleared shortly after 2pm.

Andy Snowden (who tweeted us the above photo!) got in touch to say: “Bit of a nasty accident on the Gresford roundabout, person knocked off their bike! Five police cars & ambulance.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “At approximately 1pm, we were called to an accident involving a cyclist in the Gresford area of Wrexham. We responded with a rapid response vehicle and an emergency ambulance, and a man in his 40s is being taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
