Could not agree more Alunh. My son is a DJ and did lots of gigs up and down everywhere before he actually charged a fee. You have to get your name out there and sometimes you just have to do it for the publicity.
If your good then you will get work from doing a few freebies by word of mouth.

I really hope that it is a small minority of race related incidents in the area. We must all surely be aware that without multi-culturalism in the Wrexham area, the Wrexham Maelor and the Care Homes in the area would all grind to a halt.
I had the unfortunate position of seeing my dad get rapid onset vascular dementia following a stroke 2 years ago and he ended his days in Pendine Park EMI Dementia Centre.
I can honestly say that the staff at Pendine Park, of which there is a diverse mix of nationalties treated my dad with the upmost respect, dignity and everyday cared for him with genuine affection. His needs were enormous and extremely challenging and they carried out their duties with integrity and honesty even though their job was not always an easy one, and one that most us would not be able to do or wish to do, due to its very nature and poor pay. I for one will always remember the staff at Pendine Park, each and every one of them.

However much we read people’s views I am still convinced that it is a minority that are truly racist, but sometimes it has to be said that if somebody uses a term such as Indian/Polish that it is without malice or have any kind of racist connotation but there will always be some who might interpret it as something else. Think thats just life today, and thats a sad fact.

    Sheefag/Llay Housing Development/Sheefag/Llay Housing Development/Sheefag/Llay Housing Development/Sheefag/Llay Housing Development/………. anybody bored yet !

Perhaps you need to declare your interests !!

Not really sure what the picture is all about – just to insult the elderly maybe – perhaps they are your next target.

What has this got to do with Speedy Cars out of interest ?

Chris I have to admit to not being extremely forum savvy or social media savvy. And no offence taken.
To be honest I don’t even know how to put a smiley face on these threads (smiley face) and as for me doing BOTS well now that would be a first!

Again, I agree, there are those here, seemingly incapable of discerning between playing the ball and not the man but is their opinion ultimately any less valid? Apply that rule and the ‘Llay Development’ thread would be instantly closed.

Looking back at the Llay Development thread, Sheefag you only joined the debate on Page 25, weeks after the blog started. Until then if you read back you can see the varied comments from lots of bloggers, not just Captain C or myself. Lots of valid comments for and against, at times heated and at times witty. To now try to get the blog closed down because you take offence I find amusing. Nobody tried to get it closed down when you were not blogging on Wrexham.com. at that time so why now !!! Just a question I think you need to answer, after you have actually read what went before Page 25.

I and many many others have our points of view as you have yours but there is a limit to what is deemed acceptable and appropriate.

Well Im sorry to disagree with your Benjamin, but do you really think that myself and a merry band of four (as somebody else quoted) wish to keep this blog going. 28,000 hits this morning. Perhaps you think I and the other four are continuously hitting the forum button to get the numbers up, well you are sorely mistaken. I do have a life !
I really think you underestimate the numbers opposed to this development, surely the numbers of hits speak volumes. We are in the know unlike you, thats of course if you live in Llay, and so its thanks to this Forum for all that we are able to let people know what is going on and for all to comment.

That said the things that are being said by a certain few need censoring as it was getting out of hand, and if you look back at the many posts, there are many bloggers keeping this post going by continuously posting venomous comments directed at people who are trying to stand up for what we believe is in the interests of the people of Llay.

You for instance this morning citing your comment. Thank you for keeping it in the public eye.

Just watched a programme on TV about Britains housing crisis. It would have been essential viewing for the Llay anti housing development protagonists.
If any of them have any morality in their collective being, they would realise that at least a million more houses are needed nationally to address the current shortfall and that the protectionist attitude towards their minor enclave is nothing short of being morally indefensible.
I wish the application to build, every success and I hope that WCBC decision makers do what is right for the wider audience and not bow down to insignificant, parochial and petty arguments to the contrary.

Funny that just watched the same programme. There are only 50 people living in the hamlet where that proposal is being considered. There are 5000 people already living in Llay.

Not that difficult to see the difference.

Yes I have a lovely cave thank you.
But if you have read the blog from the start perhaps you might see why we are objecting.
