It seems we are in for a fight and need the best people on board.
I have now contacted the Welsh Conservatives as well, so fingers crossed.
Out of interest the 2100 residents, are they the people who signed your petition ?

A & E last night full to capacity, people in ambulances outside for 3hours. Do we really need another 1000+ people living in Wrexham area (and thats just in Llay alone)
When will Town Planners think about the real issues out there in our communities.

There is a lot more to it than being classed as Nymbies, there are other issues far more important.

Yes I think we need to read up on all these issues so that we are armed with the detail.
I have emailed Lesley Griffith and Ian Lucas to ask for their opinion on the proposed site, so I’m hoping that they might be able to clarify certain things.

    Thanks for all the information.

Lets hope the local councillors in Llay will give the same concerns to the proposed Gresford Road site where 365 houses are proposed on green belt land.
Where will it all end !!

Housing needs are dictated by the number of people, not the number of jobs. There is a national shortage of housing. Houses need to be built nationally.

Surely these two go together or are we to assume that the people coming to Wrexham or already live in Wrexham area will not have jobs !! Surely having a job gives you the capacity to be able to buy a house.

As others have rightly said there are hugh amounts of empty houses, unsold houses in Wrexham already so why are they not been snapped up by would-be buyers. Would we not be seeing panic buying and gazumping if this was the case. Just a point that I cannot see is a case to justify building 360 more houses.

What I don’t understand is why the council keep saying there is a need for all these houses to be built. Are there going to be major job opportunities coming to Wrexham that we don’t all know about ? Is this why we need more houses in Wrexham to accommodate all these people coming to work in Wrexham. Anybody know the answer ??
