Well the first thing to save on would be funding for pending capital projects.

Do we need the proposed one way system by the old Walnut pub ? ( as discussed on this forum ).

Do we need public consultations when the outcome has already been penciled in ?

Do we need to speak to several depts, all employing numerous people in reference to a simple question ?

Do we need to provide expensive services to appease the minority ?

What we do need is ……………..

A fiance dept with the mentality of every homeowner in the area ? Pennywise !!!

Spent on the essentials only to keep us all ticking over during the recession.

And finally, someone, with balls too say, ”thats essential, thats not !!”.

And now we see that there is a proposal of a park and ride in Ruabon.

Another white elephant and yet another museum !

Heritage is a nice luxury, but we need a future in Wrexham, not just a history.

I’m fed up of pointing out to my kids, that’s where ………. used to be, or that’s where they used too make ……..

Let’s have some real proposals for building a future for Wrexham, not these expensive historical memories.

I agree with you N Jones in part. Larger vehicles do cause you to give way. Perhaps the way forward is to put a width limit on the area in question. This would ease the problem all round.

I see this as an improvement. A one way system will, I feel, would disperse the problem over a larger amount of areas with the possibility of a far greater potential for personal injury.

Does anyone know how long the underpass has been there ? What are the accident rates for there and their severity ?

Everyone would have their own view on the situation, the above is mine. Thats what debate is all about. I respect all input. Thanks

Thanks for the first hand info cymruambyth, but I’m afraid it sounds just like the same old Sharps. Quantity over quality. Shame.

I hope everyone effected gets something sorted asap !

As far as I recall I was told that when that road was first built it was supposed to have traffic light control and one way flow at a time.
I think it would be a good idea to trial the one-way towards the old Remploy factory. Not broken? This road has been a nightmare for years. I travel it everyday and have done for years. I’ve lost numerous wing mirrors.

If they also put a one way down crispin lane it would help, though the width of that road is narrow in one part too.

I agree regarding the ‘lost wing mirrors’ argument, but, that’s down to a driver’s lane discipline. You ‘can’ fit two average size vehicles down there without the need for marshalling.

If you put it as one way, you will then put a greater strain on the surrounding T junctions etc. Accidents at junctions “usually” end up with a personal injury, or god forbid, worse.

The occasional wing mirror due to bad driving is a small price too pay when you look at it as I have described above.

    A personal view, of course.

I’ve just read the report and official announcements. Just as the ex employee states, no work until the end of September .
So either we now know the x2 staff unfortunately laid off or the picture is being painted rosier than it actually is !

Why the trial ? What are they hoping to prove ?

Sorry, if it ain’t broke, leave it well alone.

I’ve seen far too many ‘improvements’ over the last decade funded by the taxpayer’s of Wrexham go belly up. Generally ill thought out and poorly managed.
