MikeParticipantThanks for bringing this up! I drive down there quite often and it is confusing that there are no signs. They better not get the Stay Safe unit perched anywhere around as it wouldn’t be fair.
People are most likely going to drive at 40 because it’s what they’re most used to and strictly speaking they’re not really being told otherwise.
The road could also do with some resurfacing!

With regards to ramps, there are not enough of them! I am disabled and have to use a wheelchair or scooter to get around. There are still some shops and areas in Wrexham that I can not get to because they don’t have ramps and staff are not too happy to bring items outside for me to look at before wanting to purchase. This means I either need a carer with me or not bother shopping in Wrexham and instead shop online. I know which I would prefer.
Sorry! I meant ramps on the roads. No problem with ramps/disabled access, everyone should have the means to get around and get to where they want to without hindrance as far as I’m concerned.
MikeParticipantAnother change (for the worse) = ramps everywhere. They serve a purpose but don’t put them in places they’re not needed.
For the better, I think the expansion of Glyndwr has been good. It’s brought more jobs, more buzz, more students and money to the town
MikeParticipantThough they’re not exactly ‘in town’ the solar panels at least aesthetically are a bit weird to get used to. I know lots of councillors back the decision to get them, which is fine, but they change the landscape considerably for some areas (like Queensway) that have remained more or less the same for years.
MikeParticipantSuppose they can’t compete with the likes of Moonpig + the other cheaper alternatives. Prime letting in Eagles Meadow next to Sports Direct for the taking!
MikeParticipantJust popped up a few stats after last night. Hope everyone was happy with the result for their area (though I doubt it!)

How are you guys at Wrexham.com doing with the new news desk?
Going well thanks!
Just a quick note to all candidates before tomorrow (whether you’re members on here or just viewing) from all the Wrexham.com team…
An awful lot of hard work and energy has been put in over the past few weeks (in rubbish weather!) and hopefully tomorrow sees a great turnout and future for all the local communities in the area.
Good luck to all and see you at the count! (Say hello if you spot us :))

That’s fine, I understand your reservations.
Not reservations, more regulations!
It’s always going to be nigh on impossible to predict what the voters will do on the actual day and why. We’re just hopeful none of the votes (or areas) slip ‘under the radar’ i.e. passive candidates + low turnout
Nowadays there are so many ways to get in touch with voters – Social Media, our Q&A :D, email, forums + the more traditional avenues and hopefully that brings more voters into the fold. I guess we’ll see whether that’s the case on Thursday!
MikeParticipantI need to stay neutral so can’t really name names – sorry the ambiguity! I’m not in the Rhosnesni area though.
We’ve had a few people on twitter saying they have seen very little of the candidates in their area – Marchwiel is one such example.
MikeParticipantHad a mini manifesto through earlier this evening – first thing I’ve seen from that particular candidate in this area. Anyone else surprised by the ‘last minute’ culture of some of the candidates?
