MattParticipantOnline reporting is useless – too easy to fob off – best to get on the blower and tell ’em what for. Then you can actually escalate if not happy.
At the end of the day they are trying to scrimp on money, so they are actively avoiding doing anything unless they absolutely have to.
MattParticipantGet community service offenders to collect litter. Simple.
MattParticipantI fully support it – sounds like a brilliant idea. Shaolin Monks, some of the most peaceful people on the planet – it’s an absolute privilege that they have chosen to come to Wrexham and want us to be twinned with their city.
Thanks to Pol Wong for enabling this type of cross cultural exchange to happen.
MattParticipantWell, only a complete idiot would award listed status to the Police Station and:
1) Cost more money to the police by making the commercial supermarket deal fall through – when people are regularly complaining about the lack of policing activities in Wrexham. Why hamstring the force further?
2) Effectively block development in a key part of town – when everyone has been moaning about how Wrexham is a complete state and is in desperate need of redevelopment.
Did anyone check and see if the listed request was a sneaky cross-border sabotage from Chester to keep our town in the doldrums.

I don’t think that the point of listing buildings is to make money out of them is it? More to preserve different types of buildings for future generations[/quote]So you think it has the possibility say 100 years down the line to become a UNESCO World Heritage site?
MattParticipantIf you list a building you should explain how you are then going to commercially take it on and put it back into use. After everything that has happened with the Groves – clearly no winners there – just a building sat in disrepair not used for education – which is what I believe was the whole intention of retaining the building.
It is an iconic building because it loomed largely over the town, but now it’s had its use. Not being funny but Chester must be laughing at us – they have the Ampitheatre, the walls etc… then there are the things that Wrexham wants to list.
MattParticipantI hear Wetherspoons has axed a large majority of their European drinks – so they should be called in to provide a bar. Forget Jagerbombs – for 10p cheaper you can have Strikabombs instead. Shelve the Champagne for celebrations let’s have some English sparkling instead.
Noticeably conveniently haven’t thrown out EU favourites such as Stella & Guinness.
MattParticipantI hope there will be a Red, White and Blue – Smooth and Orderly Brexit Party – delivered by a Strong and Stable Organiser.
Then I will be looking forward to waiting times at the Maelor A&E reducing dramatically when we get part of that extra £350m per week pumped into the NHS. Oh Boy Oh Boy… SAID IT ON A BUS.
MattParticipantBryn – changes from November 2016
Food waste should be placed in the food caddy which has been provided by the Council and should also no longer be placed in the green bin.

MattParticipant98 Comments of confusion on where to put food waste on the Penycae Magical Mystery Tour group now – including one of the community councillors now weighing in with advice on where to get grey caddies from – states that not everyone is as wise as you oh Maureen.
It’s only Monday collection day – wait until the rest of Wrexham’s reprobates get a sticker on their bun.
