So how come there are shops on Queen Street and Chester Street selling what looks like ‘legal’ highs (as well as imitation machine guns?) How is this discouraging anyone from moving on to more illegal products?
A bit lazy of the Evening Leader to re-hash the same old King Street photographs on their front page today to highlight this story. There’s plenty of opportunity to capture up to date images any day of the week in Queens Square.
‘1. Leisure Centre membership has always been less for Council employees compared with the general public when run by the Council – unsure if this carried forward to the Freedom contract.
2. Drinks Vending machines providing free drinks – do they still exist in any offices’Wow Carol, you’ve really unearthed the motherload here!! So you’re saying that maybe they have subsidised leisure membership and maybe they have free drinks but you don’t actually know! I suspect council staff receive none of these life changing perks, but if they do, I’ll be putting in my application to become one of the privileged few as soon as my Xmas Turkey has worked its way through my digestive system.

Why shouldn’t Town centre workers, who undoubtably contribute so much to the town economy on a regular basis, benefit from free parking. You’ll probably find more of them increasing their shop as they wont have to carry it so far. If you want a space in Dec, get in early.

At a time when Wrexham Council deserves high praise for the free parking in December it will be a shame if this benefit is cancelled out by shoppers being put off from walking around the town through fear of being fined, especially elderly and vulnerable visitors.
Why would this be a ‘fear’ for anyone unless they are intending on dropping litter, in which case, serves ’em right?

I guarrentee the police/council twa*s will abuse this for thier own gain. Watch out!
I’m all for an open debate, but I thought this site had rules. Obviously I don’t agree with any of Joan’s views but he/she has every right to post them. He/she has an obvious dislike of any type of authority but to resort to childish, yet offensive name calling is out of order.
