Wrexham Glyndwr launches Christmas Countdown online advent calendar competition

Wrexham Glyndwr is launching a Christmas Countdown competition on the university’s brand new website – and it is open to all!

Throughout December, the university will be releasing daily content on its website in the form of an advent calendar – with the opportunity for you to win a gift card ready for those January sales at the end.

Content produced by staff and students in creating the competition will include winter related animation, videos, photographs and much more as we celebrate the season of goodwill.

And if you keep checking the website every day from December 1 to December 24 you will be in with the chance of winning gift cards worth £100, £50 or £25.

The creation of the advent calendar has also given the university’s talented students a platform to showcase their work to a wide audience.

One of the students involved in producing animated content for the calendar is 19 year-old second-year Graphic Design student Luke Worrall.

He said: “I got into animation last year and am incorporating it into my graphic design.

“Being involved in the Christmas Countdown competition is an opportunity for me to exercise the skills I’ve learned during my course and give back something to the university – I’m grateful for what my lecturers have done for me in the last year.

”I hope everyone enjoys taking part in the competition!”

A Wrexham Glyndwr University spokesman added: “We’ve opened this competition to all Wrexham Glyndwr students, staff and the general public so everyone can be involved!

“All you have to do is visit the Wrexham Glyndwr University website daily or keep an eye on our main social media channels @glyndwruni, for a link to discover a new piece of content from our very own students and staff.

“Be sure to pay attention as behind the final door, you will be asked a question about what you have seen throughout the month.”

Three winners will be chosen at random in the form of a prize draw. Entry into the prize draw will be made only if the question is answered.

Gift cards will be in the form of a One4All voucher, available to spend at more than 130 brands in-store and online.
