A warning has been issued after multiple vehicles were targeted for their number plates.

Several offences have been reported in areas of Wrexham rural this week, with police saying the most recent taking place overnight.

Inspector Gavin Gilmore said: “We have seen a spate of all makes and models of vehicles being targeted for their number plates in the Wrexham Rural area this week.

“We are asking for everybody to remain vigilant and to report any incidents of this nature straight away.

“It is also advised to park your vehicle in a well-lit area where possible, such as under a streetlamp, or in a garage or driveway.

“Additionally, if anybody has access to these incidents being committed on Ring Doorbell footage, or on CCTV, to get in touch as soon as possible on 101, or via the website.”
