One of the stars of the most recent series of Stranger Things has been confirmed a media guest for the upcoming Wales Comic Con.

Chrissy, played by 25-year-old Grace Van Dien, was added to the line-up for the first Wrexham on August 21.

The character became a fan favourite during series four of Stranger Things, which was released on Netflix in two parts this year.

Although her appearance in the series was short, her storyline lay the groundwork for the rest of the series – with fans falling in love with her portrayal of Chrissy.

Her character also inspired the viral song which is guaranteed to get stuck in your head on a loop “Chrissy wake up, I don’t like this.”

Grace Van Dien joins a packed line-up for Wales Comic Con, which is returning to Wrexham later this month for its homecoming event.

Also available for fans to meet is Chris Barrie from Red Dwarf, Patricia Quinn from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jessica Darrow from Encanto, Supernatural’s Mark Sheppard and icon Brian Blessed.

Wales Comic Con’s Wrexham Homecoming will take place at Wrexham Glyndwr University on Sunday August 21. Wales Comic Con will also return to Telford for its two day event on 3 and 4 December.

Tickets for both events can be purchased on the Wales Comic Con website.
