An appeal for information has been launched after thieves stole a rear bumper from a pensioner’s car while it was left parked outside her home.

The rear bumper of a Vauxhall Corsa, which was parked on Northleigh Grove, Rhosddu was stolen sometime between 11pm on Tuesday 29th September and 4am on Wednesday 30th September.

We’re told that the vehicle was parked on the owners driveway when the incident happened.

The car owner’s son got in touch with Wrexham.com to say that ‘the car is now un-drivable until it is replaced. She is a pensioner who relies on her car’.

Back in August Wrexham.com reported on a number of wing mirror thefts on cul-de-sacs around Garden Village and Rhosddu – with several vehicles targeted in the thefts.

We contacted North Wales Police to see if any similar thefts targeted cars had taken place around the area on the same evening, however it was confirmed that this was the only incident of its kind to have taken place that night.

Anyone with any further information is advised to contact North Wales Police on 101.
