Several car wing mirrors have been stolen from Garden Village overnight, with Wrexham.com told there could have been more around town over the last few days.

Usually such reports are of criminal damage when several are smashed in a row, however this incident involves specific thefts.

Three cars on Ffordd Estyn were affected, with others on Sterling Avenue, Ffordd Gwynedd and Wats Dyke Way – all within a five hundred metre radius of each other.

Police were made aware of the incident this morning when residents awoke to discover the loss of their mirrors, with some cars suffering theft of one and others both being removed.

One Wrexham.com reader told us he woke up to discover his had gone missing overnight, likely between 8pm and 7am, and his neighbour’s wing mirrors had also suffered the same fate.

Anecdotally we are told there has been a rise of enquiries at local garages and suppliers for fitting of replacement wing mirrors over the last few days, indicating the issue could been wider spread in the area.
