Brymbo and some other areas of Wrexham suffered power outages overnight – we are unsure if this was connected to the high winds overnight.

John Jones from Acrefair told us late at night that the power company had informed him that a fix was due by 4am. Graham Paterson, also of Acrefair told us his power was “fine”.

We had reports from Southsea that power was ‘on and off’ throughout the night, with Stacey Humphreys ‏sending us the above picture showing what they were using for light from 9pm onwards.

The power company was praised by one resident who told us “At least they told us what was going on” while another said he had been told “that there is quite a few homes without power and they expect it to be back on by 4am. They told me to ring back for further updates”.
