Overnight Wrexham was hit by high winds causing minor damage and lack of sleep for residents.

The winds developed into the evening peaking around 2:30am.

Kris Stafford said “The wind has just taken the plastic cover off our rabbit hutch… and the bricks holding it down! Very windy!”

Alan Jones said “Really bad wind in Wrexham Roof blown off Dog pen. Been outside repairing it. Sorry if I made too much noise neighbours!”

Natalie Roberts told us “the house is shaking because of the wind”.

At around 2am Peter Clutton told us there are “strong sidewinds on A483 Some cars going way too fast.”

Later that morning a car flipped on the A483 causing tailbacks, and a tree blocked one lane of the southern carriageway close to Rhosllanorchrugog.
