One person has been cut free from a car following a two vehicle collision in Minera earlier this morning.

The incident took place on the B5102 in Minera between Nant y Gaseg and Hurricane House, shortly before 10am this morning. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had received a call to the incident at 9:46am and that one casualty was cut free from a vehicle.

Two appliances from Wrexham attended the scene.

North Wales Police Control Room tweeted at 10:27am to say that the road has been closed and advised motorists to use an alternative route.

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 9.43am to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B5102 in the Minera area of Wrexham. We sent two emergency ambulances to the scene, and two people – a male and a female – were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
