Major emergency services response after youngster injured near Ruabon

A major emergency services response attended an incident last night following reports that a youngster had been injured.

North Wales Police, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Wales Air Ambulance were all called to a wooded area, near Ruabon, shortly before 6pm.

Volunteers from Newsar (North Wale Search and Rescue) also attended the scene to assist with the evacuation of a casualty.

A spokesperson for Newsar, said: “Our second call on Monday was to assist with the evacuation of a casualty from a wooded area near Ruabon, Wrexham.

“Team members assisted with moving the patient to the waiting Air Ambulance, as well as providing lighting.

“This was a major muti-agency response involving the Air Ambulance, Welsh Ambulance, North Wales Fire and Rescue and North Wales Police.”
