Large Police Presence Around Erddig After Body Found

There is a large police presence near Erddig this morning, however it is not a response to an ongoing incident.

Update: Police have confirmed the body of a man was discovered this morning in the Clwedog river . Police say the next of kin have been informed. The death is ‘unexplained’, with investigations ongoing.

We understand that sadly a body has been found in the area.

The lower carpark for Erddig off Sontley Road has been taped off by police, with police vans and cars parked.

Crime scene investigation vehicles are also in the carpark.

Lewis also tells us there is police tape across entrance to Kings Mill to the east of the area.

The police helicopter has also been above the area this morning, with the fire service also assisting police.
