Don’t be alarmed if you see emergency services at Wrexham Glyndŵr University tomorrow.

The police and ambulance service will on the Plas Coch campus in Wrexham during the morning to take part in a closed learning exercise with staff and students.

A post on the university’s Facebook page this afternoon states that the event – which includes students from Policing, Forensics, Criminology, Psychology, Theatre, TV production and Journalism – aims to reflect a real-life scenario as best as possible.

The post adds: “Real police and ambulance service colleagues will be attending in emergency vehicles with lights and sirens active, but rest assured this is not a real incident.

“We will be posting updates throughout the day so stay tuned to see what happens.”

Previous events have included a mock collision exercise, which saw fire and ambulance crews dramatically battle to rescue a young driver from a car.
