In January we reported that there was a planning application to change an Eagles Meadow shop into a ‘Restaurant/Cafe’.

The application was for application is for Units B3 and B4, which are the ones below the Odeon and bowling.

We are told the new restaurant will be one of the ‘Real China’ chain, which they say “welcomes you to savour fresh, exquisite and delicious Chinese food in our stylish, enchanting and sumptuous restaurants with warm and friendly service.”

The service appears to be buffet based, but some have a teppanyaki element to service.

The Real China currently has 21 restaurants across the country, with the nearest one currently being in Shrewsbury.
